Cassie is a Masters of Public Health student at the Medical College of Wisconsin and aspiring medical school candidate. Cassie has participated via Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin the the following roles: January 2019 Medical/Dental Brigade – brigader, May 2019 Dental brigade – brigader, January 2020 Medical/Dental/Water brigade – leader, January 2021 Medical Telebrigade – leader, May 2022 Medical/Dental Brigade – leader.
With her student leadership team, Cassie launched her Medical Brigades chapter’s first local brigade project in Milwaukee in December 2020, where they donated over 600 homeless kit care bags to our Milwaukee community. Cassie led this while simultaneously continuing to support Global Brigades’ new Telebrigades initiative.
Cassie believes that leadership must be multidisciplinary, especially when working with an organization like Global Brigades. She states that “allowing individuals who have not only witnessed, but also experienced Global Brigades through different viewpoints is essential to allow this organization to continue to grow and empower the lives of individuals in our world. In a world that often lacks representation in leadership, I believe that this position fits my goals, as a female leader in my community.” We are thrilled to have Cassie on the GB USA Board as one of our student board representatives.
