Cancellation / Refund Policy

All cancellations must be submitted in writing by email before the deadline listed in the Program Addendum. Contributed funds may be refundable or transferable to a future program through December 31st of the following year. Airfare booked by Kambia follows airline voucher/credit policies.

More than 135 days before program → Full refund of contributed funds.

134 – 98 days before → 50% fully refundable and the other 50% fully transferable to a future program.

97 – 68 days before → No refund on deposit. Remaining funds are transferable to a future program through December 31st of the following year.

67 – Program Start Date → No refund will be issued. $390 will be withheld to cover accrued in-country expenses. Remaining funds transferable. Group flight vouchers may apply.

Airfare → Once ticketed, only airline vouchers/credits (minus fees) are available.

Force Majeure (e.g., natural disaster, pandemic, unrest) → If Kambia cancels, we will help reschedule. If you cannot attend the new program, funds may transfer to any Kambia program under these same conditions. If not able to provide an alternative Program that is acceptable to the University, both Parties agree to negotiate a refund amount in good faith.
